Manchester Road/Croft Street - In Consultation
Have your say on plans to install traffic cameras to enforce existing turning restrictions and yellow box junction.
Why camera enforcement is needed
The junction of Shipley Airedale Road and Leeds Road is part of a key route connecting Bradford to Shipley and Leeds. This is an important route for commuters and through-traffic across West Yorkshire. High traffic volumes make safe and predictable driving essential. However, signed traffic restrictions are regularly ignored at this busy location.
Bradford Council is proposing to install traffic cameras to enforce turning restrictions and encourage correct use of the box junction. Enforcement will help ensure drivers use the junction correctly, keeping traffic moving smoothly, improving safety for all road users, and reducing the risk of collisions.

How it will work
If the proposals to install cameras are approved, during the first six months of operation, warning notices will be issued for first-time offences. Subsequent offences will incur a penalty charge notice (PCN) of £70, discounted to £35 if paid within 21 days. Appeals will follow the existing process for parking and camera fines.
Have your say
As part of the decision-making process, a six-week public consultation will be held from [dates TBC]. We are inviting feedback from:
Residents and businesses located near the junction.
Road users and pedestrians who travel through the junction.
To leave your feedback, either complete the form, or email info info@future-bradford.co.uk.
Following the consultation, all feedback will be reviewed, and a report will be published summarising the feedback and how it has been considered by the project team.
