Welcome to the weekly e-newsletter for the Bradford City Centre Walking and Cycling Improvements Scheme.
This edition includes everything you need to know about the Bradford City Centre Walking and Cycling Improvements Scheme for the coming days. We upload each weekly newsletter to the Future Bradford website. You can find copies of each e-newsletter on our news page if you would like to look back at previous editions.
Planting continues on Norfolk Gardens
Planting and soft landscaping (meaning adding decorative elements) work is continuing at Norfolk Gardens, complementing the recently planted cherry blossom trees that were featured in last weeks newsletter.
Significant progress has also been made on the new pathways and cycleways, which together with new landscaping, will help shape a welcoming and well-connected public space in the heart of the city centre.

Important update: Future Bradford e-newsletter to be issued fortnightly
As the city centre works move closer to completion, this e-newsletter will move to a fortnightly publishing schedule, meaning our next edition will be issued on Friday 28 March 2025.
We will continue to share regular updates on the city centre and other Bradford district projects. We will also share notices of any traffic management or other upcoming works as required.
Bradford Interchange Bus Station
Bradford Interchange bus station reopened to the public in January 2025, and bus services are operating from the upper concourse.
Due to ongoing resurfacing works, around six bus stands will stay out of action until at least April 2025. Therefore, some bus services will remain on-street until that time.
The quickest route from Bradford Interchange to Nelson Street, where the temporary on-street bus stops are located, is via the back entrance of the bus station.
